ARK II strives for a world that is egalitarian and non-oppressive where animal liberation and human liberation become one in a fabric of mutual respect, tolerance and compassion.
ARK II works to maintain an inclusive safe space policy at meetings and events. This means constructively confronting and stopping oppressive behaviour and language. Discrimination based on speciesism, race, culture, religion, sexual orientation, gender or gender identity, age, (dis)ability, and economic/social class is not allowed.
No one has the right to objectify or exclude another being based solely on who they are.
In the event that a person is harmed or triggered by a situation or participant, or experiencing difficulty in any capacity, it is up to their discretion to bring it to the attention of ARK II organizers. We guarantee privacy and confidentiality in such an event and will do our best to honour the individual’s needs.
If you violate this policy, there will be consequences and could potentially result in your being banned from from ARK II meetings and events.
